Plasma Fibroblast RF

Home

Plasma fibroblast therapy is an aesthetic procedure that aims to tighten and enhance the appearance of the skin. A certified nurse utilizes a pen-like device to create minor damage to the skin, which initiates a process of regeneration.

What are the pros of plasma fibroblasting?

The results can be impressive when patients are treated by an experienced certified nurse. Results from plasma fibroblasting can last up to three years. Providers can target very small areas of the skin, such lip lines, frown lines crow's feet, and along the jawline. Thanks to the topical anesthetic cream, patients report very little to no pain during the procedure.

Cons of fibroblast RF

  • Peeling, swelling, and crusting to each dot are common post-treatment, so you may need one to two weeks of social downtime.
  • People with olive or brown skin tones (Fitzpatrick skin types IV-VI) are not good candidates for this procedure due to a heightened risk of hyperpigmentation. Even people with lighter skin tones have experienced lingering pigmentation issues.
  • People with hypertrophic scars, keloid scars, sunburn/suntan, diabetic, has pacemaker and have healing skin infections are not recommended for plasma fibroblast service.

Like other nonsurgical skin rejuvenation treatments, plasma procedures can't deliver the kind of results you'd see from a surgical procedure. People with a lot of excess skin around the eyes, jaw, hands, abdomen or cheeks will likely be better candidates for a surgical procedure, such as a facelift or blepharoplasty.
