How long does Botox last?
Typically, Botox on average lasts between 3-6 months. Botox’s longevity can vary from person to person. Some people metabolize Botox faster than others. Other things that can shorten Botox’s longevity are things that cause your body to metabolize substances sooner; for example, working out. Someone who works out daily is most likely going to metabolize their Botox quicker than an individual who works out little to never.
Botox after care
It is advisable to refrain from exercising for at least four hours following the procedure in order to prevent the Botox from migrating to unintended areas.
Don’t get a facial or head massage for a full 24 hours after Botox. You should also avoid rubbing your face in the area that was treated.
It is advisable to refrain from consuming alcohol, caffeine, smoking cigarettes 4 hours after the procedure, as these factors may elevate the risk bleeding.
Avoid lying down or bending over for at least an hour after getting Botox to prevent the product from migrating.
Are dermal fillers safe?
Yes. We use only products with proven safety record. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance which occurs naturally in the cells of the skin, thus there is no risk of allergic reactions. Even people with food sensitivities can receive these fillers safely. The brands of dermal fillers we use are available in more than 90 countries and have been used as an injectable cosmetic treatment for more than two decades with an excellent safety record.
Lip filler after care
Apply a cold compress for the first 2-3 days for 10-15min at a time to relieve discomfort and minimize swelling.
Avoid any blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin and Advil, as these medications can cause more bruising and bleeding.
Avoid smoking and using a straw for 5 days, this can cause pressure on the lips and might disrupt the form and healing process.
It is recommended to avoid make-up on or around the lips, this might cause an infection on the open tiny wounds the syringe makes. Avoiding the sun will help the healing process.
